Passport

You are required to have a valid passport for travel to the United States. We recommend your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date to Canada.

Registration Form

Due to customs regulations, the name on your Registration Form must be the same as the name on your official identification. Customs and Immigration is very rigid in their entrance requirements. Anyone convicted of any major or minor offence should check with Immigration prior to the trip, as you may be denied entry upon check-in at the airport.

Permanent Resident Card

Permanent residents of Canada must present their valid Permanent Resident (PR) card or permanent resident travel document (PRTD) when boarding a flight to Canada or travelling to Canada on any other commercial carrier. If you do not carry your PR card or PRTD, you may not be able to board, which can result in travel delays and additional costs. The PR card expires every five years. You must ensure it is still valid for the date you return from travel outside Canada.

If you are not a Canadian Citizen:

1. Contact Karin Pearce at Cascadia Motivation at (877) 810-8272 about documentation requirements and applications.
2. Check your PR card expiry date and, if necessary, apply for a new one as soon as possible. Forms are available online at www.cic.gc.ca. If you have any questions, contact Karin Pearce at Cascadia Motivation.
3. If you have applied for a PR card but not received it one week prior to your departure, advise Karin Pearce at Cascadia Motivation and carry the following documentation with you on your trip:
   1. Copy of your expired PR Card or IMM 1000 Record of Landing
   2. Copy of your application for the PR card
   3. Copy of your PR card status

Please Note: This is no guarantee that carrying copies of these documents will allow you re-entry into Canada.
